Attention Birmingham! Get ready to lift tone and burn with me this Saturday at 8:30 am CST! I’d love to personally invite you to join me at Athleta at The Summit for a Pure Barre class that will get your thighs burning, lift your seat and tone your abs and arms. If you’ve never been to a Pure Barre class or have been wanting to try it for a long time, this is your chance! Grab your besties, your sister, or your brother and get ready to sweat with your squad.
In case you don’t know about Pure Barre, it is a 55 minute class that combines yoga, pilates and ballet. No matter what your level of dance experience, or lack thereof, all are welcome! Some of the pictures above show me doing some of the basic moves you can expect to see in class. Each section where a section of the body is worked is followed up by a stretching series for that same set of muscles to elongate through the body. It is a very athletic approach to ballet and it’s set to high-tempo music to keep your mind engaged and your body in the burn zone.
