Have you ever made a smoothie bowl? It’s a fun twist on a traditional smoothie. And let’s be honest, you can make it Instagram worthy with lots of pretty toppings but I was just focused on it fitting my macros, haha! I’m sharing a recipe today as I am prepping for an upcoming Tampa trip that helps me feel full and like I’m getting a “treat” to enjoy! The great thing about this smoothie bowl recipe is you can use it as a base and throw in whatever you have on hand in your freezer or produce drawer!

Smoothies in general are a go-to for me in my meal planning rotation. Not only are they quick to make, but you can keep it budget friendly & clean out your fridge and freezer before your produce goes bad. This recipe also fits into my FASTer Way To Fat Loss program, which is the 6 week program I started when I was postpartum with Finn. It helped me lose my postpartum baby weight plus some and truly is the only clean eating and weight loss program I have tried that is SUSTAINABLE!

Did you know there is a new round starting on May 17th? If you’re interested in joining me, click HERE and join the new round and put Miranda Wesley as your coach! You can see my results below from my pregnancy with Finn to now through FWTFL:

Left – October 2018, 2 months postpartum // Right – February 2021, 2.5 years postpartum

Why I Love Smoothie Bowls:

Ok ok, back to the smoothie bowl! Not only do they fit my macros, they are great for meal planning and FWTFL, and budget friendly… Smoothie bowls are also the perfect way to get your kids involved in the kitchen with you. Let them add the ingredients to the blender as you practice counting and following directions. And of course, they will love decorating the top of your smoothie bowl with any toppings they love.

The recipe below made a HUGE portion so I ate half, gave half to my assistant and then they boys ate off of it too! You can even whip one up and share it with a neighbor or friend if your hubby isn’t in to them like mine.

BONUS: Your little won’t even taste the spinach in this recipe, making it a great option to get some extra nutrients into their diet. That’s a mom win, right there!
