Trying Out a Cleanse

Trying out a Cleanse

Look at all those delicious looking fruits and vegetables! So much good stuff in this grocery shopping trip. My body is going to love me! You may remember that a few weeks ago I did this cleanse. I felt so good on it and it said you could do it for 1-2 weeks so I decided to do it again for the 2nd week after my Nashville junk food binge. ..err I mean trip. Nashville trip. Anyway, my body loves all the fruits and veggies so why not do the cleanse again, right?!

I was overwhelmed by how many of you inquired about my cleanse last time (via comments, email, Instagram & more!) so I decided to share some more about it with you! I used one of the cleanses from the ebook, Eat Weight Off. They have multiple cleanses ranging from a few days to a week which I did…that’s right…7 days baby!

A few reasons you may want to cleanse include jump starting your weight loss, cleansing your body of toxins, evaluating your eating styles, training your body to eat healthier, improving your hair skin and nails and more.

Here’s the basic gist of the cleanse with a few of my own adaptations:

Day 1: Eat only fruits

Day 2: Eat only veggies (or LOVE Your Body Beet Juice or other veggie juices)

Day 3: Eat fruits & veggies

Day 4: Bananas & Milk (I skip this day because after doing it once I didn’t like how I felt)

Day 5: Lean Meat Soup, Egg Whites, and a few other items are allowed

Day 6: Beef & veggies

Day 7: Fruits/Veggies/Brown Rice/Fruit Juice

Eat salt-free nuts as necessary to fill yourself up and to give you energy as needed if you are working out or are doing something strenuous.

This is just a broad overview but it includes healthy fat burning soup recipes, detailed fruits and veggies lists/more of the science behind it and more. Go to their website to get the full version for yourself! I like to do a lot of juicing during this week of cleansing as well, so check out my Go Green Juice & the Love Your Body Juice for more inspiration and recipes!

As you know, I try to figure out how to do it as frugally as possible so I bought most of my stuff that was on sale at Publix first and then went to Walmart for the rest of my items. To see a breakdown of all I bought and how much I spent, stay tuned for tomorrow’s post!

This sounds awesome!!!! The only food in the world I absolutely CAN NOT tolerate is bananas. I detest them with a passion. What could I substitute for banana day??? 🙂

Do you have a link to the Eat Weight Off one you followed? Maybe I am overlooking it, but I didn’t see a link in the post. Thanks!
