Since Leyton turned 5 this year, and Finn turned 2, we decided to host a fun dino birthday party for the boys and all of their friends! The party could not have gone better, we had so much fun!
Y’all have been asking me for all of the details regarding where I sourced decorations, food, and all the fun activities. I’m spilling all my secrets for you right now! If you’re planning a birthday party soon, I highly recommend checking out these vendors and small businesses; especially if you’re local!
Dino Birthday Party:
I stumbled upon Jen’s Instagram page. She’s based in ATL and is a fellow boy mom! She puts together party kits for you and ships them to you so you don’t have to run to 25 different stores grabbing plates, napkins, tablecloth, activities, etc. etc.
Jen sent me all the tableware for the party, had a tablecloth delivered to my house from Amazon, made these darling gold dinosaur planters, and put together a “dinosaur dig” activity for the boys. She takes all the thinking and guesswork out of your party for you!
Amanda helped me create these cute banners for the boys! I gave her the boy’s names, color scheme, and dinosaur theme and she came up with the design and sent me proofs.
She has SO many designs in her Etsy shop (characters, themes, you name it) and will make your letters completely customize to your party/decor. She also makes wood letters. These can be used for birthday parties and then transitioned to the child’s room for decor!

This local company brought signs for the front yard! They make it so easy with contactless pick-up, set-up, and break-down.
They have all kinds of signs for a birthday, gender reveal, baby announcement, even college game day. Their custom signs are such a fun surprise for the kids to wake up to on their birthday!
Another local company that creates all kinds of balloon setups and yard signs- from HUGE setups to smaller like our table topper centerpiece they made. They make everything custom to your party or event and are super creative with the design.
Shannon did an amazing job with the cookies! All I told her was we wanted blue, dinosaur theme, their ages/names. She had full creative liberty and knocked it out of the park! She also does cakes.
Leyton had his heart set on a blue cake with “sprinklers” aka sprinkles. I sent Edgar’s Bakery the image and they actually have NEVER done a confetti / funfetti cake like the one I showed them. But after the owners saw the adorable cake photo, they decided to test out new sprinkle cake layers. After testing and getting it approved, Leyton is getting the first-ever sprinkle layer cake Edgar’s has offered! So crazy right?!
Edgar’s obviously has other sweet treats too like cupcakes, baked goods, cookies, etc. and have 10 locations across Birmingham + Alabama.
Naughty But Nice Kettle Corn –
This local Birmingham business offers a small-batch kettle to hand process which allows the freshest kettle corn possible. It’s not just popcorn, they specialize in artisan sweet and salty kettle corn flavors. It’s not just Popcorn, they specialize in artisan sweet and salty KETTLE CORN flavors.
They have individual bags but also have a food truck which you can have at your celebration! How fun is that?! You can become a Pophead, and use them for your next Virtual, In Person, or Drive-By Birthday Celebrations, weddings, corporate meets, and baby showers! You can even invite Ms. Poppy our kettle corn food truck out to join the celebration!

I found these fun bath bombs on a late-night Etsy search and love how cute they are! Cindy makes all sorts of bath bombs, salts, soaps, etc. in dino themes, unicorns, donuts, and non-kid versions. These could make great little gifts for teachers, etc.
They are all handmade and are all-natural with safe ingredients for your kiddos.
Yep, raw cookie dough. Delicious!!! It was a tough time narrowing down their flavors for the party because I love them all and would’ve taken one of each.

What’s a party without Chick-a-way?! We’ve done CFA catering in the past for birthdays and it’s always a crowd-pleaser. Ordering and pick-up are so easy and convenient. Jeffrey and Katie at The Grove location always make it a great experience!
They brought our dinosaur dreams to life with real plants for the tablescape! They were so darling, I couldn’t get over it!
