Happy New Year Friends! I pray the New Year is finding you healthy and happy! You’ve probably heard the phrase, “New Year, New You”. If you’re like me, you may not be looking for a whole “new you”, but you may be up for a few simple adjustments to become a healthier you! Today we’re going to explore combining Whole30 and FASTer Way To Fat Loss!
Two ways I have become my healthiest self are through the FASTer Way To Fat Loss and Whole30 programs. I promise, you don’t need to intimidated or overwhelmed by either. If I can do these programs, you totally can too. But you may be wondering which is right for you or how to integrate the two and I’m here to help with just that!
If you’ve been following me for a couple years, you may know I have done Whole30 in January for the last 4-5 years! So crazy! Whole30 is a PERFECT way to completely reset your body. If you aren’t sure what Whole30 is, click HERE for all my resources, must-haves, and shopping lists!
Whole30 is a way to strip your diet down to the realest and most essential food for your body, much like a Paleo diet. You literally eat ALL whole nutrition for 30 days straight cutting out sugar, grains, legumes, dairy, alcohol, processed foods, and more. After the holidays, it is such a great way to get your body back on track and even help to find what food sensitivities you may have.
With FASTer Way To Fat Loss, it is similar in the fact that you are aiming to eat whole nutrition. However, it differs in the amount of food you eat and when you eat. FWTFL incorporates more of a big picture health approach by adding in intermittent fasting and workouts that pair with macros. Okay, so how the heck are we going to merge these two programs? Great question! I think it looks different for each person BUT the goal for me is to do FASTer Way To Fat Loss exactly by the program as best I can. Instead of “leg day treats” or eating anything that fits my macros, I am going to focus on the foods that fall within the guidelines of Whole30 – meats, fruits, vegetables, nuts, etc.
I 1,000% believe in grace and already know there will be moments where I won’t hit my macros exactly, something in my schedule will fall through and I won’t be able to make a workout, or I will cave and eat a sweet. However, this is my GOAL and what I am aiming for over the next 30 days! I would love for you to join me in this journey too!
