Happy fall & football season! It is Week 4 of October’s Health & Fitness Challenge and I couldn’t finish out the challenge without sharing a yummy, guilt-free football dip recipe for you to enjoy on game day! If you are just tuning in, Jessica at Happily Hughes and Caroline at Olive You Whole are joining me this month to share healthy recipes for you to incorporate into your weekly meal plan. Last week I shared Eric’s DELICIOUS 3 Ingredient Honey BBQ Wings, the week before I shared a Greek Pasta Salad recipe, and the first week I shared 25+ salad recipes that many of you sent in! Make sure you click those recipes to pin for later 😉

When it comes to snacking on game day, it is all about balance! I love to splurge and enjoy good food when the time is right but I also try to make healthy choices. Any time I can go for guacamole or salsa over queso, find the veggies, or choose a protein over a sweet, I try to! Don’t forget that a lot of times the sneaky calories come from what you are dipping with too. You can opt for baked chips, paleo chips, or even veggies like bell peppers or celery to dip in this football dip recipe to cut back on the calories.

Now let’s talk about this Alabama Caviar – it is 5 ingredients and the EASIEST football dip recipe for you to throw together before the game! It is all veggies, no gluten, dairy, or soy (depending on the vinaigrette dressing you choose)! This would be great to add to your starting lineup for tailgating or hosting to keep a healthy option amidst the carbs and sweets!

If you are hosting a party this season, I highly recommend the following menu items:

Alabama Caviar
Recipe type: Appetizer
  • Corn
  • Field Peas
  • Diced Bell Peppers
  • Onions
  • Vinaigrette Dressing
  1. Toss all ingredients together and eat alone or with chips!
