While the thought of wearing sweats out in public and no lipstick makes our grandmothers want to hide their faces in shame, athleisure and the age of health and fitness has made it totally acceptable to wear your athleisure clothes in public. Those of you that watch my Instagram stories know that I wear athleisure clothes more than real clothes. It kind of comes with the territory as a fitness/healthy lifestyle blogger and Pure Barre teacher.
The name of the game in the winter is layer layer layer. You can easily throw on my favorite alo yoga jacket or a leather jacket, some funky earrings, a light layering necklace and earrings and be ready to hit the kids’ school pickup or lunch with your bestie.
Onzie Winter Athleisure Picks:
I have a love these shredded pants in blue. And I’m newly into this green top because of the awesome color! The side slits will fly open on you, so be aware! I front tuck mine a lot if I’m doing something other than barre.
Zella Winter Athleisure Picks:
I think we are all obsessed with the Zella high-waisted live in legging by now (first picture below). They are a good cheaper option if Lululemon isn’t quite in your budget. I also recently learned that Nordstrom is one of the MLWL community’s favorite places to shop thanks to the annual reader survey.
Since that is the case I have to let you know about Nordstrom’s newest line of athleisure wear that is a little more upscale and in line with alo yoga or beyond yoga. It’s called alala and you can check it out at Nordstrom and also Carbon38.
