Brunches are one of Eric and I’s favorite ways to entertain, so when The Summit invited me and several of my blogging friends to a brunch on their patio, I was all in! Although these pictures are SO cute, I gotta be honest and tell you that since it’s Birmingham, Alabama, it was BLAZING hot. I didn’t even try to fix my hair…I figured I could get away with that since we made flower crowns and I figured that would just have to do to make my head look presentable. 😉
I also cracked up when I saw the last photo in the lineup above because you’ll notice everyone else is wearing their cute heels! Not me…#momlife over here keeping it real. LOL! I went directly after this to my sister’s house to help her with moving so I kept it pretty comfy for this brunch and that maxi dress is legit one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing I own. You need it in your life. I’ve worn it out this summer…date nights, girls’ nights out, throw on and go to the farmer’s market, it’s been my go to. I splurged because 1. It’s so soft. 2. It’s a classic black dress I’ll wear a ton!
My style of entertaining is very laid back and simple, but I loved seeing this beautifully put together tablescape and flower crown workshop that The Summit put on for bloggers and knew as soon as I saw the photos that I had to share them with you guys. Some of you are die hard, go all-out, why throw a party unless it’s GLAMMED OUT so I knew you’d appreciate seeing all this beauty and would want to use some of this as inspiration for your next fete!
When I asked Mindy from The Summit and the blog, Love Lexington what her inspo was for this pretty party, she said, “To make it Instagram worthy!” She chose lots of the decor and tables from West Elm, because they are “so trendy and adorable.” She said, “I wanted to do something hands on that the bloggers could take and recreate should they wish, so flower crowns it was! I chose the menu to represent Alabama and wanted it to be ultra photogenic. #AllAbouttheGram”

It’s SO amazing to feed off that energy and love on each other. Hosting people in our home is totally one of those ways that we show love to our friends and family members and it’s always a nice excuse to reconnect.
