Today is the day! I’m so excited to announce that my first video with Southern Living is LIVE! I shared a tiny bit of insight into this video shoot a few weeks back in my 20 weeks pregnant bumpdate. The first video I’m releasing with Southern Living, (Ummm, did I really just get to say that?! Someone pinch me.) is a 5 minute curly hair tutorial.

If you want something a little fancier than my standard top knot you see me wearing about every other day while teaching Pure Barre, but with minimal effort, then this is the look for you!

This curly hair tutorial will work for anyone whether you have curly, straight, or wavy hair. My straight-haired gals may want to throw some texture in their hair with a curling wand or scrunching action but I have blown out my hair several times where it’s just too frizzy to do anything and ended up with this hairstyle. My southern mama’s will totally relate to this sentiment! You can see other times I’ve worn this hairdo with a blown out look below.

(Also, side note, can we talk about how cute baby Leyton is here?!)

This is my go-to curly hair updo because it’s minimal, looks good no matter how messy your hair is, and can even be done before your hair is completely dry if you’re in a rush out of the shower. When I dress up this hairstyle, I’ll put on some big stunner earrings! If I wear it for an everyday look where I need to look somewhat put together (but am totally not having time to really do my hair) then I’ll throw on some little earrings studs.

Below you’ll find some of my go-to hair products that are in my bathroom and then at the bottom my curly hair tutorial for those of us who don’t have time or energy to do our hair… #momlife. But the best part is, all you really need are bobby pins and a pony tail holder. Super minimal!

I am growing my hair out from an inverted bob to below the shoulders. I believe you just demonstrated my new “it’s hot” summer look. <3
